As a high school baseball coach, I faced adversity this season from false accusations of racism and I was told by another coach I work with “the game knows” (in reference to the ridiculous and deceitful allegations). All of those accusations and allegations turned out to be false, because the root of the complaint was about a player not receiving enough playing time, at least to his standards and his parents standards. This type of allegation in today’s society can lead to severe repercussions and consequences, as teaching and coaching is my livelihood (pays the bills). People in society need to think about how their words and actions can incriminate, hurt and/or destroy how others live. These types of things can also leave lasting impressions on a person’s reputation or leave a lasting negative impression on the person making the accusation. At the time of this adversity, I was beginning to prepare a case of character defamation, because this accusation of racism was brought to my attention in front of my two son’s and it quickly spread among the other parents. I want to make the record clear in stating that I am not racist or prejudice, never have been and never will be.
I often think about and refer to “the game knows” in my daily life and thoughts when analyzing events in my life. I refer to “the game” in this post as the canvas of life. Often negative intentions do not need to be delivered verbally, but can be seen and recognized by the actions from a distance. Sooner or later those people that attempt to hinder others by being controlling, hateful, possessive and selfish will face the pain they have caused at some point in their life. I used to not listen to Johnny Cash’s song “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” because I thought it had a meaning of not trusting in God and I assumed wrong. It is referring to a God recognizing the liar, egoist, pretender, sinner and knowing the intentions in the heart / soul of people. As the song lyrics state: “You can run on for a long time, Run on for a long time, Sooner or later, God’ll cut you down” and “Go tell that long tongue liar, Go and tell that midnight rider, Tell the rambler, the gambler, the back biter, Tell ’em that God’s gonna cut ’em down, Tell ’em that God’s gonna cut ’em down”.
If you are living life by attempting to hinder another person’s happiness and well-being, you need to reevaluate your intentions and your own self worth from within. I know true happiness can only be controlled by the person, but people can attempt to sabotage that and if a person isn’t strong enough to stand up for themselves or has an addiction, it is extremely difficult. Take pride and ownership in yourself, as you and God are the only ones that can truly deposit the tokens of happiness, faith, hope in love into your soul.
Is God or your Higher Power living through you? Are you hindering others from happiness and love? Are You hindering yourself from happiness and love by allowing yourself to be controlled by others?
SO WHO ARE YOU?
